For those of you old enough to remember, the interface of Apple computers used to be black and white. Simplistic icons were limited to the machines capabilities, and basic textures provided shading required for image creation and contrast.
We’ve come a long way since those simpler days.
Susan Kane, the iconographer who designed those now famous icons has joined forces with Areaware to create a set of bitmap textiles, ranging from napkins and tea towels to placemats and coasters.
They embody the grid based bitmap pixel images of old into new geometric woven patterns.
